How to add an email account on iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro
There are two ways to set up an email account in the Mail app on an iOS device, automatically or manually. Learn which options work best for you.
How to set up email accounts automatically
If you use an email provider like i Cloud, Google, or Yahoo, Mail can automatically set up your email account with just your email address and password. Here's how:
Go to Settings> Mail, then tap Account.
Tap Add Account, then choose an email provider.
Enter your email address and password.
Tap Next, then wait for Mail to verify the account.
Select information from an email account, such as Contacts or Calendar.
Tap Save.
If your email provider isn't listed, tap Other to add the account manually.
How to set up an email account manually
If you have to set up an e-mail account manually, make sure you know the e-mail settings for the account. If you do not know your e-mail settings, you can search for them or contact your e-mail service provider. After that, follow these steps:
Go to Settings> Mail, then tap Account.
Tap Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
Enter your name, email address, password and a description for your account.
Tap Next. Mail will try to find your e-mail settings and complete the account setup. If Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete the account setup.
Enter account settings manually
If Mail can't find the email settings, you'll need to enter them manually. Tap Next, then follow these steps:
Select I MAP or POP for the new account iPhone 12. If you don't know which to choose, contact your email provider.
Enter the information for Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server. After that, tap on Next. If you don't have this information, you can look it up.
If the email settings are correct, tap Save to finish. If the e-mail settings are wrong, you will be asked to edit them.
If you still can't set up your e-mail account or save e-mail settings, contact your e-mail provider
